Usage and Synthesis 

• Chemical Properties：Colorless and transparent liquid.Has a rose-scented peppermint oil scent.

• Usage: Used as synthetic spices. my country's GB 2760-86 stipulates that it is allowed to be used as edible spices.Mainly used to prepare mint, fruit and berry flavors.(FEMA No. 2668; ppm) Soft drinks 5.5; cold drinks 4.0; candies 26; baked goods 24; gums 5.2.

• Production method： 1. Obtained from peppermint oil.2. Obtained from the reaction of menthol and acetic anhydride in the presence of anhydrous sodium acetate, followed by washing and distillation.Raw material consumption quota: acetic anhydride 600kg/t, menthol (99%) 710kg/t.
